Salaryguessr has no account, no sign-in and no tracking. This page lists everything that leaves your phone, where it goes, and why.

What leaves your phone

WhatWhenSent to
The platform and username you look up, and the app's versionEach lookupOur server, which asks the platform or a data provider for the creator's public numbers
Your App Store receipt and an anonymous purchase id generated on your phoneWhen the store loads and when you buy creditsRevenueCat, which checks the purchase so it is credited once

That is the whole list. We never ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location, and the app requests no permission.

The people you look up

A username is a question about someone else, not information about you. Our server keeps each answer for one day, keyed on the username alone, so that the same creator is not fetched twice; nothing ties that answer to you or your device. After a day it is deleted.

The figures are estimates from public numbers — followers, views, how often they post, which posts are sponsored. We never obtain anyone's actual income, contracts or private data.

What stays on your phone

Who processes data for us

ServiceWhat for
Convex (hosting, EU region)Runs our server and its one-day answer cache
RevenueCatVerifies in-app purchases
Google (YouTube Data API), ScrapeCreatorsReturn the public numbers of the creator you asked about; they receive the username, never anything about you
AppleProcesses payments; we never see your card or Apple ID

Tracking and advertising

None. The app contains no advertising, reads no advertising identifier and shares nothing with data brokers.

Children

Salaryguessr is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.

Your rights

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. Everything about you lives on your phone, and deleting the app deletes it (credits excepted: the Keychain keeps them so a reinstall does not lose what you paid for). Under the GDPR you can still write to us, or complain to your data protection authority — in France, the CNIL.

Changes and contact

If what leaves your phone ever changes, this page changes first, with a new date. Questions: ruka.agency@gmail.com.
